With some strides
of the lodging, you will discover the tamed landscapes
of the vines and those, still wild, of the marshes and
mattes close to the estuary, so characteristic of North
Medoc.
Walk along one of the many "passes" carrying out to the
River (as The Médocains call it), |

the wild animals in wood surrounding and discover the
richness of the flora randomly paths. Pass from the ballade
to the more sporting excursion by discovering the marked
out paths.To move annoys you, then simply get your strenght
back within a leafy setting and take advantage of peace
and quiet of the contryside. |

Associations propose discoveries of the
Medoc by bike : Aquitaine Velo Médoc, association "vingt
pour vin", Veloc Medoc, Evazio or the
House of tourism and the Wine of Pauillac. If you prefer
to organize yourself your bicycle tours, you can choose among
the 125 km ocean cycle tracks , the transverse track Ocean-Estuary
(whose last portion will soon arrive at the Port of Goulée)
and the marked out circuits VTT of Saint Seurin de Cadourne,
Soulac...

On the Atlantic littoral, the departmental
circuit of the Médocain lakes crosses natural sites and goes
from Le Porge to Vensac while skirting the lakes of Lacanau
and Hourtin.
Several footpaths are proposed in Le Porge, in Lacanau, Maubuisson,
Carcans, Hourtin, Naujac, Vendays-Montalivet and Vensac.
The littoral way or Soulac way is another circuit which goes
from Le Verdon to Belin Beliet in the South-Gironde and proposes
the discovery of the St-Jacques-de-Compostelle sites.
Next to the gîte, a marked out route registered in the
departmental Plan of Excursions crosses 16 villages like Bégadan,
Couquêques, St-Christoly, bordering Valeyrac.

"Bombannes Parcours aventure"
at Carcans Maubuisson, "la forêt de l'aventure"
at Montalivet or Soulac Spider Parc propose play activities,
rich in feelings in full forest, with courses adapted to the
children and the adults.
nautical leisures
Canoe, veil, board with veil, surfing
can be practised freely or in many clubs.
River tourism is in full rise and organizations such as La
Vedette La Bohême, Croisière
des îles de Gironde ou Bordeaux et Gironde Croisières
offer many possibilities of discovery.
Valeyrac has its own port, the port de Goulée, with hold of
setting to water.
The
marina of Pauillac, from a capacity of 150 places whose
20 visitors, can receive boats from 4 to 12 meters.
At Le Verdon, the new marina Port
Medoc, offers 800 places.

Some 13 equestrian tourist centres in
Medoc propose circuits of discoveries, training courses or
visits in attachment .
Closest are "le Haras de la Mellerie" in Jau, the
equestrian tourist centre of Saint-Vivien de Medoc, "le
ranch du Regueyrat" in Vendays-Montalivet and the horse
center of Soulac-sur-Mer
air leisures
There are 3 aerodromes in The Médoc
: Vendays Montalivet, Lesparre - the St. Lawrence Médoc and
Soulac- sur-Mer.
The two first are managed by aero clubs and have natural tracks
from 800 to 900 broad.
That of Soulac is managed by the town. It has a bituminous
mix track equipped with a taxi way. It accomodates an aero
club (Cordouan
Air Club), an important parachuting center and the helicopter
of piloting of the Gironde. In summer, It is open every day
to the public air traffic.
Golf
Golf lovers can practise on the greens
of Lacanau,
Le
Pian Médoc and, since January 2006, Margaux.

The departmental Committee of Tourism
of the Gironde proposes organized circuits of visit: "the
famous Médocains castles" or the road of the castles "Landscape
and inheritance of the Point of the Medoc", "Ocean, large
lakes and forests"

Pass' Estuaire offers reductions on
38 sites distributed out of two banks of the estuary of the
Gironde between the Cordouan Lighthouse and Bordeaux

- in April : "le Printemps des Châteaux du Médoc",
open days in the castles the 1st or the second weekend of
April with quiz "Visa pour le Médoc"
- in May : the Festival of the Pauillac lamb. The occasion
for the brotherhood of the shepherds of Pauillac to pay homage
to the Pauillac lamb.
- in July : the international Festival of jazz of Cussac Fort
